Notice is given that the 148th Session of Synod of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island will be held from Thursday, 23 May to Saturday, 25 May 2019 in the McInnes Room, Student Union Building, Dalhousie University, 6136 University Avenue, Halifax.
All motions and resolutions to come before SYNOD 2019 should be received by the Executive Secretary of Synod no later than Friday, 22 February 2019 at 5:00 pm. Resolutions can be delivered to the Reception Desk, Synod Office, 1340 Cathedral Lane, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 221, or emailed to: [email protected]
No resolutions will be accepted after the above deadline or from the floor of Synod.

Further information about SYNOD 2019 will be communicated as it becomes available.
This notice is given by the Bishop of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, The Most Reverend Ron Cutler.
ONLINE REGISTRATON FOR ALL DELEGATES
Every eligible Delegate will receive an email with an invitation and link to register for Diocesan Synod, including:
- All Lay Delegates, Youth Delegates, and Clergy Delegates named on the Certificate of Election submitted by each Parish
- Alternate Delegates DO NOT register for Synod. If an named Alternate replaces a Delegate no longer able to attend, notice in writting (email accepted) from the Rector or Priest-in-Charge is required to inform the Synod Office of the switch, at which time the "Alternate" becomes the "Delegate". Otherwise, Alternates may attend Synod as Observers only.
- Ex-officio Members of Synod
- Bishop's Co-opted Delegates
- Active Non-parochial Diocesan Clergy holding a Bishop's License
- Active Postulants of the Diocese
Login will be required, using your email address and password. Those needing assistance with login / password may contact Jan Connors, Diocesan Administrative Assistant AFTER EASTER.
Delegates without email may contact Jan Connors, Diocesan Administrative Assistant AFTER EASTER to register by telephone.
Registraton opened on Friday, April 12 and remains open until Monday, May 6th.

Observers are welcome to attend Synod, but do not register. Observers may NOT sit with the voting delegates. Designated seating is available. Observers, those working at the Synod Displays, non-delegate presenters, etc. may participate in the catered meals during Synod. Food must be ordered and prepaid (by credit card) HERE.
